TruRanking rates every Division I men's basketball team using a tempo-free efficiency model that evaluates offensive and defensive performance on a per-possession basis. By measuring points scored and allowed per 100 possessions rather than raw game totals, the model removes the distortion of pace and allows direct comparison between teams that play at very different speeds. Each team's rating also factors in strength of schedule, ensuring that results against strong opponents carry more weight than margins compiled against weaker competition. Rankings are updated daily throughout the season as new game results are processed.

The table below shows each team's overall Rating (combining offensive and defensive efficiency with schedule difficulty), Offensive Efficiency, Defensive Efficiency, Efficiency Margin, Strength of Schedule, and Pace. For a full explanation of how these metrics are calculated and how the rating model works, see the Methodology page. For definitions of individual terms, see the Glossary.
