TruBrackets is an automated bracketology tool that projects the NCAA Tournament Field of 68 based entirely on TruRanking's efficiency ratings. The system identifies one automatic qualifier from each of the 32 Division I conferences by selecting the highest-rated team in each league as the projected conference champion. The remaining at-large spots are filled with the next-best available teams by overall TruRanking rating, regardless of conference affiliation. Seeds 1 through 16 are then assigned across four regions based on rating rank, with the First Four matchups pairing the last at-large selections and lowest-rated automatic qualifiers.

During the season, the bracket updates daily as game results are processed and team ratings shift. The final projection for each season represents the last run before Selection Sunday. The Bubble Watch section below the bracket highlights teams on the edge of selection, showing the Last Four In and First Four Out.
